Covid-19 Update to Operations

The health and safety of our clients and our staff continues to be of utmost importance to Ohana Surf Project. In light of the current environment and in keeping with recommendations from the CDC, we will be implementing the following:

Operational Changes:

• In order to keep parties (or clients) separated from each other, we will only be accepting reservations for the following lesson types:
– Private lessons
– Semi-private lessons
– Exclusive group lessons
– Family lessons
• Open group lessons will be suspended until further notice
• Transportation will be for only one party at a time
• We will be processing each party individually based upon the schedule for that day so that we minimize contact with others
• Lesson times will still be approximately 9 am, 12 pm and 3 pm but will vary slightly based upon the days schedule and other bookings
• In order to space customers out, we will give specific pickup or “meet at” times at the time of booking so that we can start each party individually
• Previously published pickup times will not apply and will be on a case by case basis
• Given the short walk from the Marriott pickup location, we will be suspending this pickup spot until further notice. All customers who are staying at hotels within the vicinity of this pickup location are about a 5 to 10 minute walk from our beach location and will be asked to meet us there
• A phone number of the client is required at the time of booking to coordinate pickup time

Client Responsibilities:
• We will require all clients to wear facemasks in the vehicle transportation and while on land
• Sanitizer will be available for clients to use prior to entry to our vehicles or when first arriving to our beach location
• We will require an additional sign in form that acknowledges that the client does not have any symptoms of Covid-19, has not been in contact with anyone who had any symptoms of Covid-19 within the last 14 days and consents to not wearing face masks in the water

Staff Responsibilities:
• We will require all staff to wear facemasks in the vehicle transportation and while on land
• Handwashing will occur between clients
• Instructors will maintain social distance as practicable throughout the entire client experience

Sanitation Procedures:
• Vehicles will be sanitized in between parties
• Equipment used for check in processing will be sanitized between clients
• Containers used to store belongings will be sanitized in between parties
